Long post:-)

Hi everyone--I'm sorry it has taken me so long to send this out--I'm going to combine the last few weeks of prayer/praises. Hope that is ok--here goes:-)

1. Sauer: praise that Benchmark testing is over.

2. Scaccia--praise that business is going well, prayer because a new Quiznos is being opened in Harbor.

3. Rimmer: prayer because Maddy is getting braces. Praise because Garrett had his 13th birthday last week:-)

4. Dugger: prayer that Carlos makes the right decisions during his football workouts--they start in May. Prayer that Carla is recovering from her chaperoning the 7th graders to Silver Dollar City yesterday:-)

5. Hester: Brent is done with his NTL testing (teacher licensure exam) and he passed his PLT testing. (not sure what all the letters mean, but this is a big praise:-)

6. Cobb: prayer because their family is dealing with a lot of allergy symptoms right now.

7. Dunlap: prayer that Shon will know soon where he will be traveling over the next little while (it's looking like possibly Tulsa at this point, which is a praise). Also a praise because Caleb was hit in the face during a baseball game and only came away with 1 black eye ( the ball hit him square on the nose).

8. Harris: prayer for the baseball team--a lot of travel in the rain this week.

9. Troutt: praise that Race for the Cure went well last weekend.

For all who read this, and especially for those who missed last Sunday, I am leaving you with some verses Vic gave to us to look over during the week. He has really been challenging us (in a good way) over the last 2 weeks and I really appreciate how willing he is to reach out to us even if he feels we will be uncomfortable. Here are the verses:

Romans 8:29
2 Corinthians 3:18
Romans 12:2
Philippians 4:8
Proverbs 27:19
Ephesians 3:16-17a
2 Peter 5:8
Matthew 7:14

These all deal with being Christ-like. Here are a few more points I wrote down:

Perception is reality.
You must have discipline and have your priorities straight to truly succeed at anything.
What do you want to be? Do you want to be you or what God wants you to be?

Again, I appreciate you Vic! Thanks for challenging us the past few weeks:-)

Finally for anyone interested, when we were talking about the Armor of God a few weeks ago, it reminded me of what all the Kids Day Out kids are listening to--Kingdon Kidz CDs are fabulous to help your children (and yourself) learn verses:-) Here is the link where you can listen/buy if interested. www.kingdomkidzclub.com Hope you enjoy it:-)
