Prayer Request

Hi guys--here is an email from Mandi with an update about her dad:

Dale Harper, my dad, will be receiving shots every two weeks for pain. The surgeon does not want to do surgery on the bulged disks--his chemo treatments are more important right now. Mandi

Thanks!

Class Christmas Party

Hi everyone--I hope you are having a good week. I'm sorry we weren't able to be there last Sunday, but we were really worn out from traveling. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Our class social night for December is next Friday, December 12th. I know that Dec. is a busy month for all of us. Tonya sent out an email a few weeks ago and I don't think there was much response to it about what to do for our party (if we want to have one). I want to apologize to her for not responding--it really slipped my mind until today. So, I would love if everyone would leave a comment to this post and say whether or not you are available for the 12th, and if so, would you rather eat at someone's home, go out to eat, or not mess with having a party at all :=) Thanks so much for taking the time to do this--let's end the year with a fun time of fellowship!

Carolynn

PS If there are any prayer request, don't hesitate to email me or Vic--that goes for answered prayer as well.

PPS The reason we need to do this on the blog and not in class next week is because we will be meeting in the sanctuary for the next two weeks--I just didn't want anyone to miss out on what sounds like some great financial advice:-)

Recipe from Sunday

Hi everyone--I will try to post the prayer requests later, but thought I would go ahead and get the recipe up from last Sunday for those that wanted it. Here goes:

Ingredients:
2 pkgs crescent rolls
1 (8oz) cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Topping:
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8-1/4 cup sugar

1. Press 1 pkg crescent rolls in bottom of 9x13 pan.
2. With electric mixer, mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla together until smooth.
3. Spread over crescent rolls.
4. Top with last can of crescent rolls.
5. Dust top with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
6. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.

You can brush the top with egg white before sprinkling on cinnamon and sugar. Enjoy!

New blog

Hi everyone! I thought this would be an easier way to get out prayer requests and class announcement, and also maybe create a sheet to sign up on line for bringing snacks--I will just have to figure out how to do that, or maybe someone more computer-savvy than me can help me with that:-). Anyway, I will post the prayer requests with the next post--just wanted to welcome everyone to the blog--feel free to use the comment button with suggestions!
